Kara Winslow grew up in Gainesville, Florida. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre from Rollins College, where she graduated Cum Laude. While in college, she completed her internship at Williamstown Theatre Festival the summer the theater festival won the Tony for Best Regional Theatre, giving her the opportunity to work with many influential industry elite.

After graduating from Rollins in 2004 Kara came back home to Gainesville, where she taught theatre at several local institutions. She ended up landing a job at her dream theatre and worked there for five and half years. While working there, she was cast in several small projects as an actress/model, including as a spokesmodel for ybf beauty on HSN. She was the on-air spokesmodel on live national television from 2008 to 2016. In 2012 she was promoted to their official USA makeup artist and continued in that capacity through 2018. In 2009 she had her first big break as a makeup artist for MTV‘s AXE: Hair Crisis Relief campaign.

In 2012 Kara left her “real” job to focus on her company and do makeup as a full-time career. Since then, she has had her work appear on HSN, MTV, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Oxygen Network, and TMZ. She has also worked for Proctor and Gamble, AT&T, UPS, Speedo, CompTIA, Gatorade, Amazon Web Services, and other national and international companies. She has done the makeup for celebrities, politicians, Olympic athletes, and Hollywood movie stars.

Kara’s on-site services cross the United States including speakers at a women’s conference in Salt Lake City, models in Nashville’s Fashion Week, and photoshoots in New York City, to name a few. Her services are only limited to her client’s imagination, and her ability to travel is limitless.
